Welcome to week 2 of the Optional Judges Preparation Challenge!!! This week we will evaluate level 9 routines on each event. When you click on the links below, you will connect to YouTube and see the routine. The routines are not high level routines and are more likely what you will see when you are at an optional junior meet. Please keep in mind the following information:
· These routines were selected from YouTube and there is no intent to embarrass or demean any gymnast, coach or program
· The routines can be tricky at this level as many gymnasts may not perform enough skills or meet all the requirements. However, we are not trying to trick anyone, only prepare you for what you will see when you judge.
· Remember to use the Level 9 Optional rules or your scores will differ dramatically
· After you judge the routine, determine your Start Value including and Bonus and your total Execution deductions for each routine
· You can use any reference materials you choose
· Next Monday, I will send out the evaluations by our judging panels and you can then compare your scores
Remember, you can do this by yourself, work in a group or consult with judges or coaches.
